Not so much, room was very tiny and uncomfortable.
The room was small and there was not so much vale for the money spent.
This was the first time we had used Village Inn after many visits to Te Anau, so didn't know what to expect and were very pleasantly surprised. The room was more than we expected, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and this was definitely one of the nicest places we have stayed in. We have spent more than 40 nights in hotels / motels around the country this year, and Village Inn was definitely one of the better ones we have stayed in
Very clean don't think we have ever stayed in such a clean Motel, it was very good value for the price. Upgraded the breakfast very nice, quite helpful service.
Rather strange western theme but quite cute.
All very nice, staff at desk very nice and helpful. Easy walk to lake and tour facilities, restaurants and shops.
Could have a little better lighting for reading in bed. And, carpet seemed to be aging a bit.
It was easy walking distance from the town centre. Neat, clean and tidy and everything worked well. Would go there again.
Helpful staff. Unusual architecture added to the happy feeling of the place.
The resort does not have a lot of facilities itself but is the gateway to tours into the surrounding spectacular lake and mountain country.
We had a very spacious room with kitchen facilities and ensuite. Lovely and warm, peaceful and quiet. The staff were great friendly and helpful Would definitley stay there again.
there was nothing not to like.
The quirky motel facade is great. Different and fun. The rooms are big (which we really like) and very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Located close to all Te Anau facilities.
We found the receptionist on check in to be indifferent and when asked about cruise options for Milford Sound, only promoted one service, which wasn't what we were looking for. The advice for travel time was well off the mark. We were advised that we should allow at least 2 to 2.3 hours. At a comfortable speed including the odd stops for photos, we took 1 hour and 25 minutes.
The old fashioned style of the village facades was interesting. Room was spacious and great lighting.
I have nothing negative to say about the Village Inn, its a fun place to stay and staff are wonderful!
The structure is a mix between a Motel and an Hotel, the structure is developed in a very intersting solution, the rooms are located in a fake western village. Rooms are spacious and clean, forniture and structure a little bit dated but bed are very confortable. Breakfast is seved in the nearby restaurant, fresh products and good coffe with a good selection of fruits.
some restoration of the structure and windows are needed.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, the hotel is within easy reach of the town centre.
The restaurant meal was pretty awful, perhaps because there was a tour bus load of guests the food had been prepared early and was dry and tasteless. I thought it was expensive for the quality or lack of.
That the room was immaculate and the staff very friendly and helpful.
Close to shops and restaurants and the lakeside. A good base for taking trips to Milford Sound.
+ Nice rooms + Near to city centre + Nice breakfast + Friendly Peronel + Ideal to stay if you want to do the Milford Track or if you want to dive Milford Sound
good location and rooms, pleanty to see and do in the area
